Create a SOAP Connection

In order to define a new SOAP Connection, follow the steps below:

  1. Click + Add while on SOAP Connections tab. You can select Folder to create a folder to organize your SOAP Connections. To create a new locator, select Connection.

  2. This will open up the SOAP Connections tab

     

  3. Specify a name (60 characters max), URL, and comments for your SOAP Connections.

  4. Click Message tab to navigate to it. In the Message Options section, you can add Commands, select payload type and add a body or add headers. 

  5. You can also upload files to SOAP endpoint by clicking Attachments tab and using that section.

  6. If your SOAP endpoint requires authentication, you can use the Authentication Options to add your information. Supported authentication methods:

    A. Basic

    B. Digest

    C. NTLM

    D. By headers that can be added above the Payload

  7. Hit Save to save your SOAP Connection.

  8. You can now use the SOAP connection in your test case with SOAP commands.
