Lock/Unlock a Query

Lock/Unlock a Query

In order to lock/unlock a query, click on the name of the query to go to the Edit screen and then click on Lock/Unlock as needed. If a query is locked, no other user can modify it unless that user is the owner of it. However, if a query is unlocked, any user can edit it. Only the owner of the query and a user with admin role can perform locking/unlocking.

Alternatively, you can click on the checkbox next to the query name and click Lock/Unlock as below:

Tip

The State column on the Queries page will show you who locked the query to make it easy for coordination. On the image above, the second query was locked by the user, while the first one is unlocked.

Tip

Admin users can unlock any queries belonging to other users.
